- Some companies sell isolates. Which means they strip the hemp plant and only use the compound CBD. They may be less expensive but there are few hemp standards which means a plant doesn't have to be organic, can have synthetic ingredients added, and you have no entourage effect. In other words, you don't get the wonderful benefit of all the other vitamins, minerals, terpenes, flavonoids, omega's, and many other compounds in a hemp plant.
- Some companies sell Broad Spectrum products. Unfortunately these can come with a very heavy chemical processing. Again the hemp plant used does not have to be organic, and they can throw a bunch of isolates together and call it a Broad Spectrum product. No benefit of the rest of the hemp plant.
- Some companies have Hemp Hybrids. Which means they take a CBD oil and add other ingredients such as melatonin. No longer do you have a true pure hemp CBD product.
Zilis on the other hand manufactures a Full Spectrum product. The whole hemp plant is used.
- The Hemp Farming Act regulations found in the 2018 Agricultural Improvement Act assure that the hemp we buy to produce our products has been tested and legally grown and the THC content is not greater than 0.03% as dictated by state or federal authorities.
